Beaver Plastics is North America’s largest manufacturer of EPS Styroblock containers for the nursery industry. We pioneered the special molding process recognized in forestry nurseries around the world, producing more than seven billion tree seedlings in our growing system since 1970. Beaver’s research and development with universities and private industry has helped produce new tools for pollination, genetic propagation and transplant technology, increasing plant quality and efficiency in many growing operations.
Construction
Beaver Plastics relies on “high impact” green technologies, producing the most efficient, cost effective and user-friendly construction products possible. Products like Logix Insulated Concrete Forms, Fortruss Insulated Structural Slabs and Insulworks Hydronic Insulation provide the highest levels of structural integrity, value and efficiency for both housing and commercial construction. We are leading in providing LEED and Net-Zero ready buildings that provide healthy, comfortable environments for building occupants. Our use of ‘Platinum” High R-value polymers require the least amount of embodied energy in our products , needing less resources for heating and cooling, uniquely without ozone depleting potential (OZP) or global warming effects (GWP).
Custom Packaging
Beaver Plastic’s engineering and design personnel work with our customers to provide timely, innovative solutions to our customers’ special challenges. Beaver uses EPS and other specialty polymers for the most appropriate materials for containment, packaging and shipping challenges, providing superior insulating, cushioning and vibration absorption. From environmentally protective ABS Drip Trays to Precious Cargo Shippers, Beaver will design environmentally sensitive, cost-effectiveness and reliable products that have been custom designed for you.
Geotechnical
Beaver Plastics supplies unique geotechnical products for protecting large bridge abutments and massive pile caps to small garage grade beams. We have the engineering expertise to recommend “best performance” for many geotechnical problems, validating unique product designs in our own laboratory, sometimes in as little as days. We are Canada’s only manufacturer of elasticized EPS for protection against cycling lateral earth forces, and LDPE hydrocarbon resistant foam for protecting concrete structures.
Insulation
Beaver Plastics produces high quality expanded polystyrene (EPS) sheet insulation as well as unique and patented products for highly specialized insulating applications. EPS has always been considered to be a high eco-environmental impact building material, but now, a new ‘Graphite’ innovation brings EPS ahead of all other polystyrene insulation products. Our Logix ICF products and some Terrafoam insulation products have now been converted to using Neopor, a new and much more energy efficient and environmentally safe polymer from BASF. Using products with Neopor is a superior replacement for other polystyrene products that use complex chemical blowing agents contributing to Global Warming (GWP).
