Product Description
TERRAFOAM PLATINUM 3000 with Graphite provides “Type 4” insulation performance without the green house gas
(GHG) blowing agents that are used in extruded polystyrenes. Using graphite instead of hydrofluoracarbons (HFC’s)
enhances the thermal value of polystyrene without affecting global warning. We believe TERRAFOAM PLATINUM 3000 to be a
win-win for the environment, by using fewer natural resources for the same performance, and not contributing to global warming
or harming the earth’s ozone layer. TERRAFOAM PLATINUM 3000 is inert, hypoallergenic and 100% age-stable
thermally efficient.
Applications

Specification Classifications
Beaver Plastics has formulated TERRAFOAM PLATINUM 3000 from BASF NEOPOR polymer to closely meet the requirements in CAN/ULC S701 Type 4, and exceed the requirements for Type 3. There is not yet a Canadian or ASTM specification that formally addresses the characteristics of unique Neopor-based products like TERRAFOAM PLATINUM 3000. This new polymer produces a "tough" insulation board suitable for even heavy industrial construction use, while providing the highest R-value possible from a new environmentally efficient polymer.
