INSULWALL IS PERMANENT

Insulwall is manufactured from environmentally-friendly expanded polystyrene foam. It is designed to fit together with the framing lumber to produce air-tight structures that are warm and draft -free. Since Insulwall will not sag, settle or compress, it will never lose its effectiveness.

INSULWALL IS SUPER EFFICIENT

the insulwall building system is true R-20 insulation. the entire wall structure is wrapped on a continuous blanket or envelope from the outside, blocking heat losses through wood framing components. Conventional fibrous batt insulations do nothing to prevent the serious heat losses of framing. documented research into whole wall performance show that INSULWALL is at least 20% more efficient than fibrous batts.

Standard laboratory tests do not indicate the serious heat losses of batt insulation when the wind blows. All fibrous insulations allow wind driven air to blow in and out of the insulating envelope (like the common furnace filter), taking heat with it. This is called windwashing. Since INSULWALL is solid it does not permit air to move within the wall cavity, and your home stays warmer. As temperatures drop, fibrous insulations lose their effectiveness due to in-the-wall convection currents. Heated air neat to inside warm surfaces can rise within the batt, then fall along the outside cold surfaces. This sets up a continuously circulating air movements that conduct heat from inside out. Because INSULWALL is solid insulation, in wall convection currents cannot occur.

INSULWALL IS COMFORTABLE

There does not have to be a trade-off between efficiency and comfort! When insulating materials resist heat transfer, walls are warmer and cold interior drafts are eliminated. With insulwall air leakage, drafts, and cold walls are a thing of the past.
